this is like saying that calling sister a sis is offensive...
jap is an abbreviation, not racial slur. and fyi people of other color than white tend to be as racist [if not even more] as white people.

It's their country. If they find to be highly offensive, just deal with it and honor it or just be prepared that it could anger someone one day. JPN or JP, not that hard. Most people are just ignorant about it.

Most of the censors on this forum are just jokes, we mostly use all sorts of profanity unabated anyways.

Now when i think about it, only Brits, out of all the other "major" nations/races, do not have any classic insulting nick-names :) I even googled it, since i couldn't think of any myself...

And btw, Japanese were very naughty during the WW2. They made Santa cry.
