In the link, Nessaj posted they say stuff like items will be historical accurate, the rest is more historical inspired. I guess they won't get many friends if they use horned helmets. :p
But creating a game which is historical inspired is much easier than making it 100% fully historical accurate in every detail. That's also fine imo if they don't do stuff like you mentioned, e.g. horned helmets.
Medieval times are giving more stuff though, if you stretch the time 900-1200 for example you can use lots of different armors that probably was never used together. I also prefer the dark ages though and would be happy if both this and bannerlords will stay with it though. But who knows, probably they just change WotR a bit. I'm curious about people getting into alpha.
