Too low of armor rating (resistance).  But that's the shield my bro always used.  It's a good shield for it's price, wouldn't want to get shot with an arbalest while holding it (before the shield armor buff).

Heavy round too slow in my opinion. I always preferred the knightly heater shield when playing on my 1h shielder. However, I have recently come to realize that the best shield is by far the leather covered round shield. It is currently the only shield I use anymore since its so damn sexy.

I would pay good money to see this shield buffed to the ~4 shield difficulty tier. The model is too dang fine for its current low requirement (read: low usefulness) placing.

1. Yellow practice shield
2. Green practice shield
3. Steel buckler
4. Hide covered round shield
5. Fur covered sield

Eh. I play with a board shield so like 90% of the other shields are faster than that. 81 speed OP.

Heavy round has everything imo. Its decent with speed, its round so it has best coverage, and its not so heavy that it sucks ass like the huscarl shield but it holds up well with good armor and hp. Its a great shield.

I stand by my decision if you want a fast shield. Just look at the stats. You trade 2 body armor for 25 hit points and gain 11 height. It may not look pretty, but for a fast shield it's the best.

Yes now it certainly looks that way, but it used to be in the low 20s or high teens for body armor.
