EASTERN HORSEZ!

Please for the love of god change its riding difficulty.  Nobody rides it, i feel like im one of like 3 people who have it championed.  The arabian is hands down better then it, and the difficulty is less.  It just doesnt make any sense to even try for 8 riding because you will literally be a paper kite, i would know, i tried using it as a lancer and i die from a single arrow shot at full speed, not to mention how little health it has.  Why does the Courser have so much health as a light horse?  because the damn thing is so quick that when shot while moving the shitty mechanic for momentum will near kill it, so you gave it a ton of health to compensate.  Yet the Eastern has the least amount of health in the game.  None of the stats for the eastern make any sense, please fix it.

Eastern Horse
hit points: 80
body armor: 6
difficulty: 8
speed: 44
maneuver: 44

charge: 11

Arabian Warhorse
hit points: 100
body armor: 10
difficulty: 7
speed: 41
maneuver: 48
charge: 13

Sumpter Horse
hit points: 90
body armor: 10
difficulty: 2
speed: 33
maneuver: 37
charge: 9

Courser
hit points: 100
body armor: 18
difficulty: 6
speed: 46
maneuver: 41
charge: 15

Becuz there is no horse thats both faster and more flexible then that horse  :P

8 riding is a a lot ofc, but still, you should be able to outrun any opponent.

I say it is the best high level HA horse you can imagine.

you cannot outrun a champion courser with it, sorry. I have rode it and been rode up on with it, and champ arabians can still outmaneuver you.

Champ arabian is slower then you, you can outrun it.
Courser is less flexible then you, you can outmaneuver it.

I think the horse is mainly usefull as horsearcher with 4 HA skill (so he has the agi for 8 riding anyway)

As a horsearcher on this horse you can easily outmaneuver a courser, or simply outrun an arabian while shooting them.

yes i understand that, however they also made it the weakest horse, it literally will die in a full trot by taking an arrow, or 2 if riding away at full gallop.

also to quote on that "best HA horse", what horse archer do you know of that is 12/24?  that would be the weakest HA, you wont be killing much with 4pd, and besides that you will be using a very weak bow.

Bow
missile speed: 42
weight: 3.5
accuracy: 99
difficulty: 4
speed rating: 58
missile speed: 42
thrust damage: 28 cut
slots: 2
Can't use on horseback

Tatar Bow
missile speed: 46
weight: 2.4
accuracy: 101
difficulty: 3
speed rating: 66
missile speed: 46
thrust damage: 24 cut
slots: 1

In my opinion the maneuver stat is so vastly more important than the speed stat for performing as cav. It does not only influence your ability to turn, but also your acceleration by a lot, which means that the Arabian will outspeed it when taking corners, and on rough terrain. The Arabian is a much better horse indeed.

as do i grumpy, i like to be different and use equipment that separates me from the masses.  And thank you Teeth for posting, you are correct, the arabian is hard to get away from as it can keep its speed very well, and as we all know even if you just bee line away from it, eventually you have to turn as the majority of the maps are not plain open field maps.  Its nice that they are attempting to create a horse that is the best of both worlds (Courser/Arabian) but it needs stats that are comparable to the two that make it not such a shit horse for its riding level that you must gimp your build to ride it.

It needs comparable health and armor values, and the difficulty needs changed, to atleast 7, 8 is just to damn high to actually do anything with.

Bump, id really appreciate this being looked at and taken into consideration.

Also the thread about adding more horses is nice, as adding variety is always nice, henceforth why i aim to ride my champ eastern horse.

Well the Arabian is the best horse in the game, but it costs 7 riding.  The eastern horse isn't that great of a horse, I'd say it should be 7 riding.

Your avatar is distracting

I agree, almost no one uses the eastern horse. Its stats really don't make it that distinguished but I think the #1 reason people don't use it is because it looks silly. The feathery headdress and the skinny body don't complement very many outfits.

Eastern horse is fine, except all the stupid fucking feathers that obscure my reticule. Seriously though, for ranged cavalry the horse is excellent; and if that was it's intended purpose then its doing its job.

In my experience its fragility is only a problem when you are moving at full speed because you give your enemies the speed bonus to 1hit your horse. Whenever I'm snaking around infantry the high maneuver/speed enable me pull myself out their swings sweet spot and avoid serious damage.

And if you think the Arabian Warhorse is better, why don't you use it? I think its a better idea to adapt your play style to the the gear you are using rather than the other way around.

you are a Horse xbowman, not a horse archer, no horse archer would gimp their build to have 8 riding.  However being a HX, you dont have a need to have any higher strength then 7, which at level 31 would give you like 10 riding.

Secondly Crpg is all about the style, id rather have something unique and different then ride an Arabian or Destrier like every other player.  The arabian is just hands down better then the eastern, and it serves a purpose, where as the eastern seems to not have any purpose whatsoever with its 8 riding difficulty.
