Pirates Vikings and Knights is a pretty fun HL2 mod that has at least a partially similar theme to CRPG. Give it a try; I have no idea if there are AUS servers and I haven't played in years. But it's fun.

pvkii is still fun but not the same without manual block, used to be my fav game and the reason it took me along time to switch to warbands manual block system.

I've left cRPG and returned a few times, but I genuinely feel that I'm done now, cRPG is finished for us Aussie scum! Unless you count the small group of players that continue to play DTV daily with 200+ ping, I don't know how they put up with that shit. Tried playing on NA_1 for a while, whenever I did manage to get a kill some murican would always say "nice S key noob", as if there was anything else I could do with 250 ping. There were of course those few nice chaps from chaos and frisia that frequently let me in their strat battles, many thanks to those guys.

I blame it all on the aus mount and blade community being completely retarded. We regularly have 200 slot NW servers full, consistently high player numbers in NI and PW, even native battle had 64/64 players the other night, but the cRPG server hasn't had more than 2 players in weeks. wot?

I have heard nothing but good things about Dark Souls. If i could ever pull myself from C-RPG I would probably try it.

eh, there are plenty of good SP games. Final Fantasy 7 seems good so far, and I'll be replaying some old point and click adventure games, should keep me occupied for a while =)

Dark Souls is probably one of the most unique games out there. In my opinion, It's somewhat a Zelda meets Skyrim, Meets Shadow Of the Colossus. Huge open world, Unique storylines, Awesome loot if you know where to go, Boss battles that generally require strategy and quick thinking or sometimes pure dumb luck, and of course invading and fucking peoples shit up(So much more fun at a low level generally less OP characters and you are genuinely nervous about dying). So you should definitely get it.

I've been itching to play the Zelda classics again.  I think I'll start with A Link to the Past and then do Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.  Wind Waker deserves another play-though too.
