I can't have a main character

Hi! I started Crpg a few days ago and have been having loads of fun. However, I realized that my character isn't my main, I can't find a way to set him to my main, nor do I see any options with new characters I make. Can anyone help my with my noob problem please?

There are no main characters anymore, instead you can select one of them to become your strategus hero with the possibility to switch as often as you want.
