According to this guy on yahoo answers:

The fact of the matter is, this is a very real hazard that clearly belongs in cRPG. Devs please add.

You could wait in ambush for someone to take cover under a palm tree and then hit the tree and coconuts can come falling down in a blur of brown and smash them.
