A secondary mode for bows; the arrow thrust

Press X while holding a bow and you'll have the bow in one hand, the arrow in the other. You can now perform a thrust attack with the arrow that does low damage. In the spoilers below I've put what I think the stats of the secondary mode should be. Similar to a dagger, you cannot block with the arrow/bow, but you can chamber. I thought of this idea while watching an archer get lanced by a horseman and I just had the thought, "what if?"

No less realistic than doing the same with a practice dagger!

Sorry, the secondary mode for bows is already reserved for switching between equipped arrow types :P

I think its a great idea , but the damage you propose is too great : it should be only a "stunning" accessory and would glance on most armours but can help in some dire circonstances. Between 10 and 15 pierce (stabs pierce...).

Else you will find many people using this too efficiently, in strange circonstances, like the rondel dagger.

just take the damage which they are already adding to the bows damage (bodkin= 2 p tatar =8 c) that would force archers to skill ps  to do any damage what wouldn't make it op

I think the arrows should maybe have a meelee use similar to a dagger and obviously with no capability to chamber or block

Would be better if you could carry two types of arrows and switch between them (with secondary mode).  Would be much more useful than trying to stab someone in plate with an arrow.

i beg to differ, multiple arrow types are pretty useless because everyone just carries the the ammo of their preference and you really dont need more than 30 arrows a life. plus it would look hip

Being able to switch between stronger cut arrows, and weaker pierce arrows is useless?  You do realize that the bodkins work better on heavily armored targets, but you're better off using high cut arrows on low armor targets?

4 damage is not something id give crap about in crpg, if you are shielder you block them anyways and if you are pole or 2h you either dodge or die.
plus changing arrow type could be theoretically executed by sliding mouse button [imagine having two bows in ur inventory with the weight of one and different arrow type]. not to mention that if you have masterwork arrow type you dont really care about other types unless you loom another type.
