Everything the apostates do is what everyone else does, stop complaining and just fight, assaulting a castle should be hard and take a long time. Thats the way strat is, deal with it.

How did the big offensive on the Shu Han lands go a few months back? Or the attacks on Uxhaul?

How many castles have you successfully taken in the past few months? It is pretty hard to take castles nowadays with the infinite number of tickets and equipment. I'm surprised how you guys are being so arrogant for winning just 2 battles.

The biggest problem of strat  that all the time you fight  with bugs and not with the players ^^ So assaulting a castle is hard not because it is a castle, and certainly not because the enemy is very smart, but simply because of the fact that the bugs are working on defense

We attacked villages mostly, and as far as i know we weren't going to take control of the area it was just to cause mayhem and it worked pretty well out.

Yet you don't see us whining about defenders jumping off the house being outside of the second wall on Uxkhal, or the 3 walls circling the town, or about the amount of missile flying at us.

Imo it was a funny (not really, but it is what you make it) battle cause it was an achievement to even make it up the ladder without ranged killing you

I think I was on the wall the longest out of the attackers when I got up the ladder and stood on that Forward Spawn static mesh thing for like a minute.

Ah yes then you jumped down and tried to do some jackie chan summersault stab in the back kung fu masterclass.....but you ended up with a bolt in the balls and imminent death

If you plan on using a catapult to blast down a wall then you better be prepared to sacrifice some troops from the battle to protect it. By building your catapult in a good position (hilltop) you can place siege shields and maybe get 4-5 men with shields to protect it while the engineer fires.

For laddering up successfully you need to divide the defender's attention so that atleast some men can make it to the top. To do this simply spread your men out along the wall and have attack groups ready to climb the ladders as soon as they are placed. It is probably best to send 2 shielders and some morning stars/Mauls up 1st to clear the area.

My opinion on Siege towers is that they are very situational. I personally dont like using them to attack because too many players try to move it and once the defenders can get inside it becomes a clusterfuck of mad proportions.

All this being said some castles are just a bitch to capture (Remember the fallen at Dhirim) and take more troops to overtake than others.

If you cant atleast get on the wall s using these methods then you have to look to your mercenaries and soldiers because then they must be screwing around or something.
