Strategus Siege !!

 Could someone tell me how to siege a castle or town in Strategus properly ??




5 archers can destroy a catapult in 2 minutes , so destroying the walls is close to impossible . And why do arrows damage catapults? Where`s the logic ? Buff the health of catapults !!
Ladders are destroyed after 3 hits , so they are shit for siege . So our last  chance to get on the walls is a siege tower ..  but our retarded apostates friends know how to abuse ladders !!


And what about defenders having almost all weapon racks ? That`s big shit , too !!

There you see that it is just unfair, that  they can jump out of the castle withouth loosing health and destroying all "Weapone-Ranks" or "Siege-Towers", just do a higher wall!

not every castle looks like that

I haven't been in a strat siege for a very long time but ALWAYS ALWAYS the catapults could make a breach in the wall.

if memory serves me right 2 or more catapults covered by shieldwalls/siege shields and place at a long range could make short work of a section of wall.


If you only built one catapult try building more.

Ladders are effective if you throw them correctly.

In my diagram, ladder example 1 is you throwing a ladder up to a wall that's straight in front of you.  You should be trying to throw the ladder so the top of the ladder is below the ledge of the wall by a foot or two, so that it makes it hard for the defenders to break it (they either have to use a pike/long spear, or have someone jump onto the ladder). 

Diagram 2 is pretty shitty, but I'm not an artist and wasn't trying to spend a lot of time to make it look 3D.  Imagine the blue wall is directly in front of you and is a "tower".  The grey wall to the right is on your side, and smaller than the blue tower.  You throw a ladder up against the blue tower, it is higher than the grey wall to your right, but far enough out from the wall that the defenders can't break it, yet you can jump from the ladder to the grey wall.  It's also low enough on the blue tower that people on top of the blue tower are unable to break it.

Its usually why taking a castle requires many waves breaking down the defenders numbers and gear ^^

what would be the point of having a castle if it was easy for one army to take?

1) Learn to properly place your ladders.
2) Learn to properly place your catapults and then properly shoot them, i know bobby nails walls to the floor with it, even manages to shoot siegetowers and other catapults with it, all about practice.
3) If you move your siegetower close, prepare to be boarded if you can't steer fast enough.
4) Wepracks was no issue this battle, i made sure we only made 2 of them on our side, should leave you with 3, but if you are gonna consider us retarded in topics like this i might as well build 5 of them in the first minute next time...
5)Why keep your mouth shut in all battles until the first assaulting done by your faction? 

And last but not least 6, keep the stratdrama in the strategus section of the forum mate
