Which 1h is best in their category?

Since the patch came with many changes like as price etc.

I want to start a discussion about which 1h is best due to price/upkeep (worth of heirlooming) in their respective category:

The categories is following

All-round (i.e. Nordic war sword)

Fast/spam (i.e. Sabre, Italian falchion)

Slow/high dps (i.e. cleaver, various axes)

Now I gotta to go for Pizza, soon back!

All around is now the long espada eslanova, quite fast, good range, and almost the same stab/slash damage, so it'll serve you well no matter if you stab or slash with, an excellent swashbucler' weapon

long espada isnt ideal anymore, due to high cost of upkeep. Prepatch it was ok to run with espada but not longer..

10k, and the worth of the espada increases to 14+k with x1 heirloom... masterworked it should stay somewhere at 20+k ? (anyone confirm), expensive upkeep. Still you can go with it if you play with low level armor

I made my arabian cavalry sword into masterwork on my 1h alt. It´s not so expensive, has high cut damage (but lower stab damage) and is comparatively long. But this alt is also a 1h cav one, so I can use it on horseback, because of its lenght.

Thats good! However, it take long time to heirloom it to masterwork since our exp gain is lowered

I got a masterwork long espada, it cost 523 to upkeep it, the heirloom doesnt matter in the upkeep cost

Upkeep doesn't increase as the weapons get more expensive after heirlooming.

Anyway, here's my list:

All-round:
Knightly arming sword. Decent cut damage, decent thrust damage, good range, decent speed and can be used quite well from horseback.

Fast/spam:
Steel pick. High damage, high speed. Very short. Good for agility builds.
Niuweidao. High slash damage, high speed, cheap and 88 range.

Slow/high dps:
Military cleaver or Iron war axe. Cleaver with 35 damage and the axe with 37 damage on the swing. The cleaver has decent range, but the shorter axe makes up for that with shield busting ability.

Anyway, there's a lot of options and it depends on your build. If you want to make it hard on yourself, take a short weapon with a strength build.

The problem is even if you are number 1 in NA you are still only number 467 in EU or the worst in AUS(number 17)

Enjoying my Langes Messer with it's high cut damage and ok thrust. I guess it belongs in the "all round" category, unless some people are too used to Espadas and Side Sword to consider 98 speed slow.
