How to make strat more alive

Nowdays we have a 1/3 rule that forces you ta attack enemy with at least 1/3rd amount of his troops. That's a good idea, but atm we have a silly stacking troops in fiefs and noone want to attack anyone, because attacker will loose more troops than he can use in battle bacause of timer.

Mi idea is simple. Leave 1/3rd rule for open field battles, it will prevent to stopping armies by some little amount of troops, an make a rule that allows you to attack a fief with at least fixed amounts of troops.

For example:

Fief kind              minimal amount for attack
village                     500 troops
castle                     1000 troops
town                      1500 troops

It can make strat more alive and give us a lot of nice battles and tons of xp (IMO most important tning in strat is xp)

What do you think about it?

It does, but it doesn't count population.

I think that rule can be easily implemented into game because it's realy simple and effective.
Maybe with other numbers but still it will give more possibilities in strat.
Attackers will siege fiefs, if they won't loose troops wich they don't use in siege.

I hope some devs will read it and at least think about implementing something like that.

cheers!!!

Good idea.

The alternative would be to allow epic strat battles - a 5 hour siege should reduce the crpg population by deep vein thrombosis and infections from sitting for hours in our own waste.

Sensible idea maybe would be to copy native - ie if a 1500 man army attacks a fief with 10000 allow it but heavily weight allowed defenders to reflect the troop proportions.

The problem here isn't with strategus mechanics, it's that the EU side of the strat map is a mass of yeasting quivering quims.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^.
Which is why EU side is so funny, all this carebearing is really just one big experience cockblock for you guys. In a month or two everyone in NA will be lvl 34+ and EU will still be snowballing each other.

If we should compare the XP, you get more from 1 EU battle than 2 NA battles. Cause you're equipment is so horrible and usually don't even make it to the end without the flags capped. But then again you have more battles, but that will change hopefully

Truly, the equipment usually is horrible in NA (except for Frisia, they always have shiny stuff). Thank god for buffing the non-loomed bows/arrows.

You're proving my point, all that plate is nice but if you aren't gonna use it....NA has 6 battles today to EU's 1. Besides as long as the ticks are bigger than rolling a x5 in the pub servers I'm fine with "horrible gear" at least I wont have to be a STR crutch to kill something.

My tip to liven up the EU side is to remind yourselves that you are playing a very unimportant game. Even if you lose all your armies you haven't actually lost anything of value. In fact you've gained a crap ton of experience, and hopefully some good friends, and some good times!

Oh and NA keep blowing up that battle page I want to get back to level 35 ASAP.

Don't worry bagge, FCC, Les Chevaliers Occitan, and Murder Boner almost always have plate armours and gear of similar quality.

Upon recently participating in some Grey Order and Druzhina battles, I've been attempting to replicate their heinous spawn-rapes. Not only are they hilarious for the aggressors and humiliating for the defenders, they give gigantic amounts of XP too!
