Multiplier Guide for Beginners!

Hey guys I made a multiplier guide for my clan and I wanted to share it with everyone else.  This guide allows you to wear armor that fits together while also saving money and not breaking your bank!
(click to show/hide)
The idea behind this guide is not to just follow my idea and copy the armor, you should customize it to your own tastes and understand why you are doing it.  The guide highlights low armors at low multi's such as the gambeson at x1.  This gambeson is chosen because the repair bill is small enough that if it breaks you would not lose any money even at the x1.  The same idea proceeds through the multi's.  One thing I may note is that the Churburg may be a little excessive because it is a very heavy plate armor but if you are comfortable at that level then rock on!  Going off Vermilion's advice I would also like to say that you may also base your weapons on the multi, and this applies to shields also.  As a 1her I go with a very noobish look at x1, the gambeson with a light spiked mace and a hide covered shield.  As a disclaimer remember don't try to copy this build exactly, spice it up for your own taste and make it your own!
-Credits go to my very first clan leader Tankmen of OotL who showed me this when I first learned to play.
and to Vermilion's for some advice.

As an extension to my guide I'm on my way to making one for every class.  This is my go at a cavalry multiplier guide! THIS GUIDE ONLY APPLIES TO LANCER/1H/2H CAV
(click to show/hide)
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/156jf0YVsAsh_ijvq6l04spPcin0a4hqAYFEUSqAEqW0/edit
Here are some recommended weapons to use as cav:

Just remember though as Cav it is going to be expensive no matter what, so this guide is not to make money, it is to keep your bank even and eliminate as much loss of money as it can!

It's an armor guideline so you save money and don't have repairs you can't handle?

This is the most (or at least near) retarded thread...

If you're not aware why you are probably going to get -1'ed by loads of people its because

1. Everyone already knows to wear cheaper armor at x1 and better (more expensive) armor at x5
2. THIS ONLY WORKS FOR THIS ONE SET OF ARMORS, which I'm sure 98% of people won't be using this exact set.

EDIT - As you are clearly trying to do something for the community, I will give you my advice..

Close this thread, make a new thread explaining to new players how they should change their armor based around the multiplier (don't just put a picture of one armor set and call it a guide.. a guide would contain multiple different possibilities and suggestions explaining why you would pick that level of armor)

Also you have completely missed out weapons.. these also have upkeep and will effect the level of armor you need (eg a shielder will not need heavy armor only medium, but will need to upgrade their shield)

Now that you have added a little writing it is starting to look more like a guide.

The next step will be to redo the picture in the OP with other item sets... I would do at minimum 8 of these...
1. One handed showing a basic 1h weapon which upgrades
2. One hand shielder where weapon and shield both upgrade but armor only goes up to mid tire
3. Two hander (weapon again)
4. Pole (weapon again)
5. Thrower
6. Archer (explain the different archer requirements - armor weight factor makes this more complicated and will require explaining)
7. X-bow
8. One example of a cross bread (eg x-bow with 1h or two hand with throwing)

For each of 1-4 I would use a different armor set
For 5 - 7 Ranged is effected by armor so these will require a different system
8 will depend on which cross bread you choice as an example (explain it will be different for different builds)

As with all guides this will take a fair bit of work and knowledge of each class.. this is why most guides are constructed by players rather than the Devs then made stickies on the forum :)

It's good advice for the noobies. I seem to make about 8-9k gold a day with my two hander. Although he usually has more than a 1x multi with banner stack. I only use one armor set too.

If everyone did this, you'd be stuck at x1 forever.

I do it by how much money I have banked.  Over 10K, the good gear.  Under 5K the crap gear.  In between, needless to say, the medium gear.

Multiplier guide for BEGINNERS

As the title suggests this is (going to be) a guide for new players.. new players don't have very much money which is why adjusting your equipment with the multiplier is important.

-- but maybe he could add your opinion at the end of the guide as advice for the next step once the new players have a bit of banked gold

Yeah for very new guys that want to save you can do this, but its worth spending some gold to help your team to win imo, unless your impact on the round is the same regardless of your gear. But then I think you will learn to be a better player if you can at least take some hits and have a chance of getting a kill. It can be argued that the XP from the ticks is more important than the gold if you have a little gold buffer, just so you get a better char faster or retire sooner for the loompoint.

I would aim for using gear that breaks even or makes a little profit based on an average of x2 - x3 income. 20 to 30k gold amount is good for me. If you just want to leach gold though I wouldn't even bother putting on good gear at x5
