Okay, who do you think are the top 10 NA shielders? Give me a list and your opinion on why.

well there are lots of people who carry shields.. but not many are actually shielders.

San and Arowaine are both 1h cav and San is generally easier to fight when he has his shield out than when he doesnt; therefore he doesnt count as a shielder.

To be a shielder you need a shield that isnt made of paper and people have to hate fighting you more with your shield than without.

I don't want to make a numerical list but i'll list off a number of shielders who deserve recognition, hoplites included.

(I'll probably get some of these names wrong.)

Ostulur
Sauce
Vespasian (super underrated)
Voester
Gamechanger
Turboflex
LL_Slim
ManOWar
Onimaho

There's more who should be listed, just can't think of them right now.

San -- Never an easy fight
Turboflex -- Sticks out among his Raven peers and gets the kills regularly
Zan -- Fucking hoplite (he may not be a shielder anymore)
Para -- Even though he is fellow KUTT, he never disapoints.
Eyebeat -- Good admin, good shielder. Low armor but still powerful
Matey -- Saw him run a train on 6 guys the other day.
Ulfson -- Switches his builds a lot, but his best one is 1h imo.
Kartoffeln -- Only thing scarier than Kart as a shielder is Kart as an awlpiker.
Negga -- Seriously, stop being good at every class (as a 1h shielder)
Slim -- Consistently gets #1 in Strat Battles as a 1hander. That is not easy.

i wouldnt be a shielder but i despise ranged too much to not have one. i'll list people who havent been posted

luk_astralis, doesnt play much but is a great shielder
rohypnol, good at any class really
dan_cheats, mostly cav when he does play

also shoutouts to Tavern keeper and Im with stupid. this thread sort of made me feel old!
