what a generous canadian.  :Dalso if you are new to the game light armor will help you learn to block better. heavy armor lets you take more hits, but you dont want to rely on that if you want to kill the try hards

This is very much true. Don't "waste" gold on heavy armor just yet. Wait until you can afford it.
