Crashing to desktop every time I join a server?

Just started yesterday but I closed C-RPG and restarted and it worked fine.  Now it crashes the second I join the server (I see the terrain load and get the "select screen" window than crash).

Any experiences with this? I imagine it is something video related? Any help is appreciated.

yeah, i've had this a few times, plus i get it alot mid game, i set my graphics card settings to performance, then turned the graphics on warband to low, helped alot, worth a try anyway...

Changed settings from very high --> high --> medium and finally low and nothing.  Changed from DirectX 9 --> 7 and it works but god it looks not so good

then get a better computer or upgrade your current one. i have every thing on the highest qua video settings and never got any lag at all. but then again i have 4GB videocard

Try deleting profiles.dat from Warband folder in AppData. You can find it by typing %appdata% in the adress bar, also make sure displaying hidden files is enabled.

Make a backup first in case it's not the problem, so you don't lose your character faces for nothing.

Start native, then join the crpg server, it will load crpg and (alteast for me) work

Leikner: that seems to have it working but it doesn't load any of the new "chinese" faces.

Punisher: I can't seem to find profiles.dat

Starting the game in windowed mode (module pop-up menu options) helped me get rid if this problem.

I had the same problem lately. Tried to join eu_1, but everytime it crashed to desktop after the terrain was loaded and the frame for the team selection menu was shown. But when i tried eu_4, there was no problem and after that i could join eu_1 without problem too.

So: did you try to join the same server everytime? If yes, try another one.

Ya man at first it worked, and it works now (logged in once and admittedly I have been playing like 6 hours straight now lol  ) but could you narrow it down to graphics, anything Amoebe?

No, unfortunately i have no idea why this happened. Didn't change any graphics setting/drivers or anything non graphics related, it was just broke and then worked again. Like magic ...
