A plea from the former EU_4 community

Just another day chilling on server 4

Hi guys

Here's yet another thread to bring back an alternate battle server to the EU players.
This time hopefully more structured and with more solutions and less hate from EU_1 player base.

As many of you know, EU_4 has been down regularly after the switch to the new server host (where EU_4 was not hosted on, ping gave it away) and has now been down for quite some time.

We are many who miss this server and will go very far to see it return.


Finding a solution:

A - Revive EU_4
Either as it was or, preferably, updated to less night time, no polestagger and all the other good things that have come with WSE2

B - Make EU_9 (test server) official
As it is now, EU_9 is not used except when devs are testing things.
I am sure that the EU_4 community would not mind being lab rats as long as we get a place to roam (with XP)

C - Community hosted alternate server
A server hosted by community members or clan(s).
The Nordmen server is a great example of a good community server that people loved even more than the official ones.

D - Something else
You name it.


Letting us know:

One of the biggest problems for me is that we haven't heard a word from the devs about EU_4.
I have come to doubt that EU_4 was ever hosted/paid for by the devs. Since it was never updated properly after the first time they switched server host, ping differs a lot from the other official servers and it used to be hosted by Pecores (might as well have been all this time).

It would be nice if someone, either the host or the devs, let us know what was happening and what is going to happen.


Please post any solutions you can think of or any changes to the ones posted above.

Also, if you insist on letting everyone know why EU_4 should not return; please do so in a proper tone.

Dear devs,

I am homeless since you removed Eu4, me and 40 other want it back again and if you want money, give me your PayPal and I will give you money that you Host it again.
I learned to play on Eu4 and their I found friends and fun. It was the best server for low skilled players and poor players, there were the best community in cRPG, much rulebreakers and great small clans like Bloody & Risen ....
And if you host it again you devs can add Bannerbalance for this small clans.
I cry every day because this guys on Eu1 are so underemployed and play like pros. Eu4 was the best server for people with a Bad computer and bad connection.

Devs think about the kidds in africa, you can help them.if you get me the Server on.
