Looks alright but you have to be kidding...£70 for early access  :|
I pledged £200 when it was still in kickstarter.

Total Annihilation was absolutely amazing, me and my dad used to play the shit out of this in LAN mode; and I hope this will be as well.

HOLY SHIT!
Kinda looks like its a sequel to Supreme Commander. Basically has the similar people working on it. Early Access costs alot of cash in steam, which is the reason why I looked it up just to see what the all the commotion  was about.

Yes, been posted before. Rather than practicing swinging a weapon, it would be better to go 1 hander and learn a martial art that specializes in takedowns, because that's all that really matters in that sport.

I have to agree. I expected bigger scale and more in general. But it's still in alpha so things could change for the better.

I'm more extremist than that. Unless a "strategy" game has active pauses, it's not really a strategy game, is it ? It's closer to an action game in which the gameplay mechanics consist of fighting with menus and hotkeys.

I really don't see what's wrong with this.  They're doing right by the kickstarter pledges, the people who are more likely core fans, while also opening up an additional revenue stream.  If people want to pay $90 for alpha, and according to steam top sellers list they do, then that's their choice. It was a stupid price during the kickstarter and it's even dumber on steam.

The what's wrong part I think is establishing a precedent for insane prices, because let's be honest publishers have no idea about the quality of a title. They just see "they sold a videogame in alpha stage at 90 bucks omg".

Yeah and hopefully consumers will be smart enough not to purchase any title going for $90.  Anyone who pays that much for a game has more money than sense and maybe, just maybe, they'd learn from their own stupidity.

I think I'm willing to bet a large sum of money a significant part of all video game consumers is like that. Starting with the kids that don't spend their own money.

This game will be twice cheaper on the release. I doubt most big name publisher would be willing to lower the price from 90$ to 40$.

Only tools are buying overpriced games in alpha stage. You either pay such high sum to support development (donation) or you look at it as a cheap pre-order (if crowdfunding price is lower than regular price). Those who buy this game for 90$ are, like I said, tools.

What big publisher will do isn't relevant, because we (people who like indie games) are one world and they are the other. I don't even play hyped AAA games anymore. Had an option to buy Battlefield 3 for 5$, didn't want to because I didn't play previous such games I've bought (BFBC2 Multiplayer, Call of Duty MW2).

I'm still interested in some of the big titles so I'm a little concerned. But anyway if they go full retard on the prices (which I doubt they will based on this one occurence), I just won't buy.
