I'd suggest increasing cut damage to 30.

I suggest lowering the broad short swords cut to 28-29, and either leave the Waki alone or buff it to 29 cut, not more.

The problem with nerfing broad short sword is that:

I vote for a Waki buff instead.

The only thing in my opinion that makes it a bit weaker is the lack of length.  Otherwise, it seems reasonable to me.  I may agree with a slight (+1) damage boost to the Waki, but nothing else.

The weapon is supposed to be really fast, not hit hard.

Other than for rp/style/4 strength build I don't see a reason to ever choose this weapon.

I can agree with this too.  The biggest advantage is the two speed with makes this an amazing weapon if you face hug and nudge (Excluding the nudge kick chain)

I feel the weapon is fine, although just like any other fast 1h.  You have to hit people 23412354 times so people do not use it much.

Both weapons were tweaked a while ago, as well as many other one handed weapons. Just waiting on an item patch now.

I think they did a good job.  As what was said earlier, it just needs a decrease in price.  Besides, we shall wait and see what tweaks were made to weapons soon enough

I have both of these loomed to +3, and almost never touch the wakizashi. The difference between 44 and 70 length doesn't even matter. You have shorter range than anyone else in the server, and you will have to get right in someone's face to hit them. The knife is faster by almost 10 speed (104 is upper end fast 1H swords, 112 speed is insanity). The only reason I use the wakizashi is because you can manually block with it (and therefore nudge without losing all defense), unlike the cheap 0 slot daggers and knives.

The knife has upkeep so low it is basically free. The wakizashi is one of the most expensive 1H in the game. I feel that a price reduction is all the poor thing needs. Then it would be more in-line with the other 0 slot 1H swords like the short broad sword, short nordic war sword, etc.

What's so funny about a 4 str requirement? Anyone who thinks a Wakizashi with 3 str wouldn't be OP, is clueless. Absolutely clueless.
