.....
Should be like in TES V, you can only block when you use both hands. Nudge nonsense.
Whats with you and Skyrim anyway? TES is good franchise, but it has never really gotten any praise for its combat, simply because its combatmechanics arent really that good. Im mean they are basically....okay, for a singleplayergame. But they would be close to worthless in a multiplayersetting.

Nudge would be fine if:

1. It didn't go through shields (at least while back pedaling)

2. It had the delay after pulling out a weapon, so that a two-hander, polearmer, or even an archer can't instantly switch to dagger to nudge you and then back to their primary.  Chain that with a kick and you've basically got a free hit or two more than you would with just a normal kick.

3. If it didn't chain so well with a kick, god damn that's annoying.

If they stopped the "Freeze" effect it has then chain kick wont happen normally.

Range is to short for lack of movement, increasing the time you're vulnurable afterwards would be a good idea, making the easiest nudge to land the one that you can get a hit afterwards AND the one where you knockdown someone who is trying to kick you with prolly wasn't a great idea either.

Imo the alterations that should be made are:

Nudge while blocking: Knockdown kicking people, no stun whatsoever, if someone it is being done on is attacking cancel the attack, slow the nudger down to walking speed for like a second after nudging to prevent the nudger glitching into the nudged and getting easy hits that way, and make the nudge push people back about twice as much as it currently does.

Nudge while not doing anything: More or less keep it how it is.

Nudge while attacking: Tiny stun, completely worthless for getting an extra hit in yourself, can knockdown people who are nudging, can no longer knockdown people who are kicking.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

Next patch, if Tydeus ever delievers anims(aka never):

1.
Will still go through block if it connects, but the stagger time depends on the action of the victim. Blocking while getting hit results in the shortest stagger, attacking in the longest. The movement hindering effect of the stagger will be removed.

2.
Will get a delay between activation and connect. Normal nudge will have the shortest, shove the longest. Also all weapon types+shield will get nudges, though 1h w/o shield will have the most effective.

3.
Maybe I put kick on the same cooldown with nudge even though that would need some ugly workaround.

Shove having the longest is sort of a bad idea when it is the weakest nudge.

It's pretty damn powerful on the bridge/chasm map as an example, enough said.

True, those maps are very few though, and it only occasionally actually works properly.

Awesome! Thanks for the response, nudge isn't really game breaking as much as it a nuisance.  I'm just glad there's still people working on this mod

Every single real warrior from the days of Troy till the days it became obsolete because of firearms used a shield. At least against arrows. Some might have wielded a battle axe or something similiar in two hands in melee distance, but why on earth would someone run around not using one of his god-given hands? Its like standing or even jumping on one foot when you could use both legs.

Should be like in TES V, you can only block when you use both hands. Nudge nonsense.
Maybe they used 1 hand weapons so they could use their other hand to push, punsch, grab and shit like that? GET OUTTA HERE!
