a question of archer...

I would love if you could add the flaming arrows on second mode. if you succeed, you would have the chance to add bonus aganist shield, and Pierce's penalty (it is obvious to use this mode, the archer must be feet (maybe make the reloading process longer))

If anything, flaming arrows should only be lit at a brazier of some sort, and even then it should be more effective at destroying things such as siege towers and equipment.

In that vein, battering rams?

Would be good against siege towers when defending a castle in startegus or even just on siege mode, although that would promote more archers to play there and would probably cause strategus sieges to become pure archer fest coupled with mass lag from multiple flaming arrows.

I like the idea but I see flaws in the game balance.

Also, knowing me, i'd probably fall into the brazier and set myself on fire.

The braziers could be like weapon racks and be built from a construction site.

Braziers could be lit using torches (torches were removed though, right?)

I'd really like fire arrows at night. No bonus or anything at all, just when you shoot it into an enemy all his attacks are clearly visible.
Also what, they removed torches? Was about the only thing that let me find my way in this countless nights.

Also, knowing me, i'd probably fall into the brazier and set myself on fire.

+1 for that

agreed. If anything, it would be like tracer fire. It adds strategy, can be balanced, and is probably codeable. +1

I've said this before. Fire arrows should do less damage and have less range than normal ones. For gameplay reasons and realism too. This is one of those things that would be both realistic and good for gameplay. Also a damage boost against siege gear. IRL you cant shoot firearrows at full force or the fire will go out at flight.
Why is everybody telling me to think? I think, I just don't show it.

I even wonder if fire arrows would do damage at all (or blunt damage). Since you need to put a rag soaked with alcool (what a waste) on the head, the arrow would not fly very far and hit softly his target  :?:

Then what about a Moonless Night Battle mod? Completely dark, even for ninjas, where you need to set fire to see something... No I am kidding. Ban the night.

First of all, OH GOD THE FRIENDLY FIRE.
But I still like the idea. I've been wanting this and poison tipped arrows for as long as I can remember.

+1 for this!!! it would be awsome to fight like that. you'd only have a few torch places and the rest you have to light yourself to be able to fight desently!
