Hoplite / 1H (21/15) with 5 shield hybrid seems to be funniest build ever :

- in plains you can be pikeman or anticav hoplite
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

- in village you can put stakes and be light 0 slot shield / 1H
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

- in  all maps you can be shielder with all 1H
visitors can't see pics , please register or login
...
 you can use longmaul or poleaxes if ennemies are shielders
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

...you can fuck all ranged with big shield

I found my definetly main...now gen 20 full +3..and still noob master

I was 18/21 at 33. Had polearm wpf, 1h wpf, shield skill and riding. Was very effective, considering you could play 1h cav, lance cav, pikeman, hoplite, 1h shielder or dueling polearms. 21/18 at 30 an then get skill points along the way seems the best build possible. At 35 one would have 7 ps, 7 if, 6 ride, 6 ath, 6 wm, 6 shield iirc. If you want to be a killing machine, do that build.

Running 21/18 sword n' board atm and that's pretty much exactly what my plan for the future is (if i ever do get anywhere near that level).
Not sure about the riding though since i suck bigtime at any form of horsie combat, so i might just ix the 6 riding and grab 3 more str or agi, though agi would cost me a few IF points if i want to max out ath/shield/wm.

Oh well lots n' lots of time to figure that one out ^

No, I don't find 2h op in general (inb4 the classic minus spam from NA guys when I say that). All melee classes have some weapons that stick out, being a notch above the rest. As classes though, I find them quite well balanced, actually.
