Help/info for a build and heirlooms

Hello dear cRPGers,

First, here is the build I plan. I want to be able to be a one hander cav (maybe using morning star with shield on horse) and also be good on foot (using like a warhammer or any other blunt weapon with a shield). So here's my build, tell me what you think.

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

    * Strength: 15
    * Agility: 21
    * Hit points: 50

    * Skills to attributes: 2

    * Power Strike: 5
    * Shield: 3
    * Athletics: 7
    * Riding: 7
    * Weapon Master: 7

    * One Handed: 164

I was planing to have max riding to have a more resistant and faster horse. So tell me what you think!

Also, with chadz recalculation (go see his thread in the announcement section), I only have 6 heirlooms now so I was wondering if it's worth it to heirloom a destrier 3 times? (Can somebody give me the stats cuz the heirloom info sticky is outdated I guess with the new patch...) I see pretty much all cavs using a courser. I know about the fact that speed helps a lot but I put style over "wut's the BEST" of everything and I prefer the destrier over courser's look. Also, like said earlier, I like the warhammer so can somebody tell me the stats of tripled heirloom warhammer? I don't really want to go with the steel-spam-pick and I prefer the blunt over pierce or cut.

All comments and ideas are welcome :D and thx for any help/info!!!!  :mrgreen:

Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)

Strength: 12
Agility: 21
Hit points: 53
Attributes to skills: 2
Ironflesh: 3
Power Strike: 4
Shield: 7
Athletics: 7
Riding: 7
Horse Archery: 0
Power Draw: 0
Power Throw: 0
Weapon Master: 7
One Handed: 164
Two Handed: 1
Polearm: 1
Archery: 1

This is best build I could think of for both cav and on foot shielder.

But you would have to give up with Warhammer etc.

If you hit the retire button youc an see the stats for heirloomable items without actually retiring.  Morninstar gains 1 speed and 3 damage if you triple heirloom it.

No. I don't know how you found that but it's not good. 12 str means you can't wear proper equipment and you bounce too much. I'd go for a variation of Socrate's build, with less shield and more IF.

Your build is fine.

These are my builds:

Basicly, i forgo IF and put those points into riding. Other than that, it's a standard 1h shielder build. You can fiddle around with maxing out either riding, athletics, shield or even weapon mastery. In my opinion, you should never neglect athletics as a 1h cav. Being fast on foot is important, because every cav gets dismounted and some maps are cav-unfriendly. Having the option to go on foot and do fine is most important.

I wonder if WM 7 is ever worth it.... and maybe even WM6. I use shield 6 in my 18/18 build now, because of the new slot system. Using the steel shield allows me to bring a medium wooden ladder, a siege shield or two construction materials when needed, instead of my huscarl shield (for on foot).

that confirms what I thought Phazey, Thx!

But again, the more I think about it, the less I'm sure : I wanna triple heirloom one horse but I don't know which one, my favorites are Courser for Speed and Destrier for Tanking while not being overly expensive and have good overall stats (oh and I love to trample over people and kill low armor that way :D)... could somebody enlight me plz lol?

Edit: I was thinking about that too: my "tanking" horse could be simply a heavy Destrier while I can triple heirloom a Courser to get max speed?

here are the stats:
-Heavy Destrier: 130 hp, 33 armor, 41 speed, 42 maneuver, 40 charge
-Champion Destrier: 130 hp, 27 armor, 45 speed, 46 maneuver, 36 charge

while champion courser: 110 hp, 18 armor, 52 speed, 42 maneuver, 28 charge

arfff... can't decide between speed or tanking (taking more damage and do decent bump damage) :mad:

You may find Destrier hard to upkeep. Make sure you don't have much more than 40k worth of equipment, that's not much left for armor. Iirc I was slowly earning gold with a rouncey, heraldic mail with tabard, segmented helmet, leather boots, mail mittens, KAS and knighlty heather shield (around 37k).

If u just make sure u have a decent buffer and only take your pony out for dedicated cav maps you will be fine thats what i do.
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

i would go with this - you can make it 18/18 if you prefer that, but currently str is much better than agi

Thx for the infos! :)

One tiny last thing! If I did my choice and go for a tanking destrier, should I heirloom it to champion to keep a good overall stats or heavy will be fine due to highest armor and charge damage?

I'm in the same boat as you, I like trample better than speed...so I'd go Heavy D and save heirlooms for something else.

If you want a fast or maneuverable horse, dont use the destrier.
