I lost 13gens and i have to say i'm thrilled, very good way of doing this.
One problem though, i have more exp than i need to retire and it still says level 30 so i don't get gen bonus.        I'm sure that will get worked out though.

if you have too much xp for your level, join a server for one tick, then it should be correct.

This actually works perfectly (for me): I was level 29 on my archer itching to respect back to melee, and bam I've now lost a gen but gained like 4 million xp and am like 500k to level 31. 

Now I need to strongly consider my heirlooming options..

Seems like a decent fix in general.  Still bummed about the longer grind to 31, but at this point it doesn't seem worth it to retire anyways so whateves.

but im majorly confused about the whole exp thing, maybe it dont apply to my chars but they are all the same gen and level
