Microphone help.

This has nothing to do with c-rpg, but I really need help, I`ve spend at least 5 hours yesterday but didnt find any help.

Yesterday I bought a new headset, the thing is, that the microphone volume is really low, and on top of that, my mic transmites an annoying bass sound.

I tried everything, unistalling realtek hd audio drivers, updating them, updating TS, googled it, everything!

I think that the problem lies here.

As you will notice, the record bars, are all greyed out, googled how to fix it, but came to a dead end.

I`m so desperate, that I even let Phase try to fix it with Team Viewer, and I ended up watching hentai porn with him

Check windows setting for microphone volume level
Disable stereomix
Check if it's plugged in alright

Can you move the volume slider under "Record" on the Realtek interface? Looks like the volume is set to half there for inbound. Can't see on screenshot if it's interactable or not.

is there a headset u can borrow from someone, or mic  / headset , or whatever cheap ass shit, to make sure it isnt your soundcard? to rule that out.

Thats the balance slider, I don`t think it has anything to do regarding the volume, anyhow, i turned it to max. Gonna give it a go.

Oh, then the one under the balance slider, the big button with + and - on the side. That should be the volume, no? Though it does look like it's maxed already.

I would also try switching from front to back panel, if your mic is plugged in front.

It`s already maxed out.

And I already tried both jacks, I don`t think it`s a hardware proble, since the mic is working, what I believe is that the mic is picking up sounds from the earphones and transmits them.

Unistalled  audio codecs, installed new ones the problem was still there..

Does anyone know where can I find the setting that lowers the bitrate of the speech codec??
