The only  problem with big clans is that it stops C-rpg being competitive. Not at a big level I mean just between the clans. All you see now on eu1 is Byz vs Mercs and as for tournaments there has only been 1 clan torny since I started playing this.

That's just bullshit. You mean Byz and Mercs are some of the only clans who's members (even then just a portion of them) consistently top the scoreboards when they are on. That is true whether there are 10 in a server or just 2 of them. And obviously it's not limited to these 2 clans. Deserters, Greys, DRZ, Fallen, Templars, Huscarls, Ninjas, Kapikulu and many other clans come on EU1 with 5 or more players, and they also have players that consistently top scoreboards. It is actually relatively rare when the server turns into a grudgematch between Byz and Mercs, and even then it's only noticeable because they are topping the scoreboards. The important factor here is that this happens because of gear/levels, skill and general teamwork, not because of mass zerg recruitment. Mass zerg recruitment has never been a factor in how well a clan does on EU1, except perhaps in a negative way.
I don't know how Byz go about recruitment and stuff, but I find it hilarious that after being insulted as "elitist" and arrogant since the start of Mercs because of recruitment policies suddenly we are zerg recruiting dickbags, even though the same policy remains and there is a minimum requirement of "skill" before any player is approached for recruitment. I guess crpg players are just better on average now, compared to a couple of years ago?

Panos, you've taken a liking to minusing all my opinions lately. I don't get it why you get so angry when someone says what they think in these forums. Didn't you get banned on several ocassions claiming liberty of speech?

I - opinions that I don`t agree with, and + opinions that I agree. I never gave someone a - just because I don`t like him, thats a gay thing to do.

I`m not angry because you wrote your opinion, and thats the reason that I opened this thread, so people could write down theirs. What made me angry, is you calling me butthurt, since when writing what you feel is butthurt??

And the thing with the bans, has to stop, I got BANNED TWO TIMES, 1 for excessive trolling, and the second one, I got banned from both in game and at the forum, for something that happened at the forum, not in game, AT THE FORUM.

You go way too fast, you complain about everything. Nerf this, buff that, make amends, fix that, new patch now, clans are fucked up... etc. Chill man, you've just come back from banlidays, and now you are stirring things up again.

The only thing that makes me complain, is the lolstab and how OP 2h class is compared to other classes, and that`s an opinion, that the majority of this community shares with me.

I`m unbanned for a year now, I was gone from this game for 6 months, because I had a GF and I prefered spending time with her, rather than playing c-rpg, sadly , we broke up couple of months ago, and here I am.

And I don`t need to make amends with anyone, I`m on good terms with people that I like, the rest of you guys, couldn`t care less what you believe about me.

At that time, their recruitment was closed, I applied  to their ladder, and they let me in, which I`m really grateful for it and I thank them, I did that because I wanted to have a banner that fits my RP, until I had enough gold to buy my own slot.

And I feel the need to repeat, that this is not a hate thread, I have respect for all three clans, and I have a lot of e-friends who are members.

I think its more that the new player / veterans join one of the seemingly big clans because they go onto the server and see a lot of Byz, Merc, Templar etc. and since those clans seem active they want to join the clan. I think its more that people seek out to join those big clans rather than some of the already established members asks and spams the in-game chat with recruitment messages. People are like sheep and will seek out the biggest and active clans to have someone that they can play with, most of the time.

Myself have joined around 3 clans, of all were pretty small and inactive when I joined them (expect Ninja, which was active). (Not counting current clan )

If my clan had reached 20 members, yes I would reject applicants, topping the scoreboard was never a factor for me in either joining a clan or accepting new members.

Strategus is what killed the tournament scene, as literally anyone who's been around since then will tell you. It has nothing to do with big clans. The heyday of ridiculous mass recruitment, when Templars had a hundred or more active players, was the best time for clan based competitive tournaments. The two aren't even tangentially connected.
