Soon all their fiefs will be up for grabs. Many will defect, while the remaining loyalists either quit strat or become FCC vassals.

HoC was more like the veteran war dogs of TKoV in strat battles. They were elite fighters assigned to the most important tasks, and performed beyond others that were conscripted into battle. If they no longer support TKoV, they will be hurting in future fights.

I owe him a debt from a war long forgotten.

No grief or ill will for Robert. HoC has paid their way with TKoV for a long time, and been as little more than dogs of an empire mostly left in ruin.

Now is a good a time as any for HoC to choose it's own fate, set it's own path.
