If your talking about people in byz using turkish or european armors, its normal, the byzantine empire had tone of mercenaries(turks, norman knights and more). Thats one of the main reason why the Byzantine theme was chosen, so you could wear different themed gear and not be restricted to one (like in shogunate times)

Why don't we call ourselves Byzantium mercenaries clan then?
We are only clan that got unique armors that fit 100% in theme and still people don't wear them. Some clans would kill to get that.
If i wanted to be German knight or Turk i would join Kapikulu or Hre. It would be cool if people would follow theme and be uniformed and dressed historically accurate. I get mad when i see people combining different cultures of gear into one.
