Talk to everyone you can and get a feel for what the other clans are like. Some are serious, some are laid back, some are outright hilarious and filled with fun people.

Each existing major strategus faction has it's own perks as well. Lots of land, lots of Gold, and some lots of power.

I'd take up Partyboys offer of doing trades and patrolling around the Bird Cage Kingdom! You'll get used to moving around, making your own gold, and recruiting your own troops. Hopefully you won't tread on anyone's toes!

Lol jesus the conspiracist, because of course a 118 man army is going to take tismirr as part of some elaborate grand conspiracy.  JC soooo smart - already knows about how we faked the first calradian moon landing.  Just read this thread -  still have no idea why this guy attacked tismir - maybe he meant to enter and trade and accidentally atatcked?  We have had a few of those in the past with newbie players.
