they should get rid of useless, free xp rounds like naked invasion, peasants or donkey riders

Why? You don't like free exp? 8.7 million exp is kind of a drag to get in battle.

I think 'free exp' rounds are fine to have, but only if you make sure the players have to work hard to get them.

defend the village is boring. the waves are boring, the bots always look the same and behave in the same dumb way. its only advantage is the great leech factor because you have x5 all day long.

What u fail to see is that they nerfed the xp and gold bonus u get like 94 gold and 2198 xp per x5 tick u can hardly wear any good gear to compensate because the gold is so worthless lets say u have to repair your mamluke armor or weapon ect ect during the rounds where u only get x1 x2 x3 you will spend all the x5 rounds paying for thoese repairs.

Some people find it fun others dont i still prefer battle because i can make more gold and xp there and kill real players.

Also over half the team on DTV servers are mostly noobs/leechers or archers and thus it allways end when engineers spawns lmao

It adds variety something wich we have lacked for a long time let it be

I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

I love this mod. It  can  be  a  good  workout  for  beginners  (and  for all when it comes Sexy  :D).

But a single server with 20 players max actually?  :( When the server isn't off
I eagerly await the development of this mod

As in balancing or expanding it? Because it could definitely become the most played game mode if expanded and if it gets several more levels.

Both. Bots need balancing, of course, maybe more waves and more progressive (ingeeners wave was waaaaaay harder than the previous one, for example).

I simply think the thing this game mod needs to be perfect is dedicated maps, created and designed especially for this mod. Makes me want to take a look at the map editor  :)

Would be more fun if we could control the npcs when we die. Could make the mode harder too.
+1.

Might just make it so that all players get kicked after 3 rounds (not waves) and than cant play dtv for an hour

That's not a good idea. :p

Perhaps there should be a happy hour on certain days where certain servers put on Defend the Village.

I'm saying they should make it harder instead of reducing the xp to 30%

Would it be at all possible to lock them mod to certain maps with defensible, but not exploitable, locations?

It's almost balanced as-is without exploitation of terrain.

If there were more ranged unit waves, and more challenging NPC unit compositions, etc, combined with non-exploitable locations, then 100% exp rate might be reasonable.

I suppose DTV would still get much higher exp than other modes, but I think cRPG could use a mode like that.

As long as it's not effortless, and not drastically higher exp/gold.

PS. Would it be possible to add a degree of randomization to DTV? I.e. have 'levels' which could be any of several different unit waves?

It would be a lot more fun if you weren't sure if you were going to get the easy-peasy nords with only 2H axes and throwing weapons, or if you might get the head-smashingly annoying ranger types, in chainmail with bows, swords, and shields, or a small set of ultra tough boss units.

Defend the Village is probably the best thing CRPG has given us after CRPG itself.

It's been discussed, it has been decided that the players can't be trusted because they'll just team-kill bots to keep their multiplier.
If anyone controls the bots it would be the game admins or devs.
That's nonsense, can bots even teamhit each other anyway? Besides, exploiting the system already results in a ban, why shouldn't this?
Don't mind the fish.
