Path of Exile is one I forgot to add to my list. I played through two difficulties of it, it's not bad at all for a F2P but I lost interest in it quickly once it just became about what Loot I had as opposed to playing the game.

LotRO is not directly a grinding game. That's only needed if you really play a lot and don't want to pay a cent.
However in high level those deeds are probably needed as well to strenghten your character with more attributes and improved skills. I however wasn't at high level yet so I'm not that sure about it.

btw Star Wars the Old Republic is free 2 play now as well. If you like some nice story you can play it completely for free. I like the story and stuff and enjoyed lvls 1 to 30 before.

Also good for a quick game is Borderlands.

I played Silkroad Online 2006 - 2009 (and a bit recently) but it's a 100% grinding game, 120 levels currently, you must play 20 hours a day or bot 24/7 to level up after you reached about lvl 60-70. And it's also about money, the item mall is very important.
Typical asian grinding game, however I really enjoyed playing it myself as it's skill system and stuff is really amazing. Community and developer are both shit though.
