So I was complaining to Cum knight about this fucked up time of his battle:
http://c-rpg.net/index.php?page=battlesupcoming#!?page=battledetail&id=3504

When he said that he attacked at 22:00 or there abouts.
He even said that he is pretty sure that the time was reset when LeShrac spotted Cum heading his way.

I hate to get up at 06:00, whats going on here guys?

yeah i was wondering when i saw that battle pop up and it was 8 hours after the attack, when the attack seemed to be at your eu primetime.  Seems petty way to try to win if it was intentional.

He even said that he is pretty sure that the time was reset when LeShrac spotted Cum heading his way.

LeShrac was offline at the time of attack. He did not even notice that he was under attack  :D :D :D

i think he change it right before i attacked him.

No, he did not. L2P.

22 till 06 is a normal night time for an eastern guy with life.

Sad, but true. It's not that we like early hours battles...

The question is why guy with life is playing strat leading army.
Sounds suspicious.

If serious - it sucks. I mean this night time. It is not important when he set that night time. I believe he didn't change it when he saw he is going to be attacked, but it doesn't matter.
I could agree that 22 CET is a bit late for eastern, yet you also made attacks at that time, so it should be ok for you. And certainly it should be better than early morning battle.

I ask myself the same question every time I log in to Strat...

If serious - it sucks. I mean this night time. It is not important when he set that night time. I believe he didn't change it when he saw he is going to be attacked, but it doesn't matter.

Now, let me get that right. Cause it seems that you guys are complaining because:

- you attacked the guy
- you did not check his night time
- his night time is actually set at night...

So it s not a bug, it is not an abuse (if anything like that exists), it is just your negligence.

Night time is a matter of personal preference, not clan's preference. If you ask me - I would prefer to fight late night, just as material part of GO leaders and some active players. So it happens that we attack late night. And my night time is set in accordance with my preferences.

And that leads us to the issue that we raise quite often. This should not be a game for nolifers. This is why the night time - as a general idea - is a good thing, and this is why we promote introduction of sensible, limited and controllable method of accessing other players accounts to the game.

See you on the battle.

Dont forget that even if you attacked just before the nighttime, if your battle hour is pushed forth by previous uncalculated battles, it will end up at the end of the player nighttime.

It says his night time is from 20:00 to 04:00, the time zone for Russia is GTM +4, and Poland GTM + 1.
So unless I am missing something here, how far east does this guy lives?

Buba, according to battle time his night time should be 22 till 6 CET as Segd said.
Also you are wrong about time difference. Russia fucked up their time zone, so atm there is 2 hours difference between Poland and Russia.

It is GMT +2 for Poland during the summer.

If you can see his night time as set from 20.00 to 04.00 it means you really attacked him in the middle of the night time  :D :D :D (It also means that someone did not set the timezone offset properly...).

to Erasmas, not exactly. I'm complaining because I'm unhappy with that battle time. And I think you should be as unhappy with that as I am. Why that happened - is not that important, cause we can't change battle time now, though I think it is obvious that attackers indeed should look at their victims night time if possible(not siege) and that everyone should set their night time to start not earlier than 23:00 - 0:00 CET, that may be late for some players, but still better than 6 am.

In what I disagree with you - is that

Night time is a matter of personal preference, not clan's preference.
It shouldn't be as long as that player doesn't play solo.
Since whole clan contribute to make battle, battle time should be comfortable for most players in clan, not for person who lead the army.

Ah well, thanks for the answers so far guys.
Just to be clear, I did not made this post to shame and blame anyone, just wanted to know why I have to get up at 05:45 in the morning.

If Cum should have/did checked the night time on LeShrac or not I do not know, I wasn't there.
But I do hope he (LeShrac) and others like him will reconsider setting their night times to a more prime time friendly time slot, and not a night time bang in the middle of prime time for battles.

Again thanks to all :)

Ps; Oh Erasmas I double checked it is 20:00 to 04:00. but nothing we can do about it now, see you on the battlefield.

You may be right about this one.

The change of nighttime setting to be clan setting, not personal (unless you are a solo player), is a good idea, but it would have to be combined with some cooldown period, and a long time for the change of the setting to take effect.

But I do hope he (LeShrac) and others like him will reconsider setting their night times to a more prime time friendly time slot, and not a night time bang in the middle of prime time for battles.

Ni shouldn't attack him in the first place. He was just innocently passing-by :D We would probably prefer to kick their asses at 11pm not 6am...  But the night time is a feature designed to protect the defenders after all.

Always check nighttime before attacking someone in the open field.

Would also be a good idea to show the lord's nighttime of a fief so you really control the time you are attacking.

To avoid changing nighttime seconds from someone attacking you, there should be a "once a week" cooldown or something longer. Because atm (if im correct) you can change it each day as long as you're -2/+2 hours from the nighttime you set (best tactic is putting nighttime from 00:00 to 00:00 so you can change it most of the day)
