Riding a champion courser using a lance (both of which I use, but I use the MW Lance), then of course you're not going to think lancer cav could use a buff.  However the heavy lance is pretty terrible (even after a slight damage buff after the heavy nerf).  Try using a non-loomed heavy lance from anything other than your courser and tell me that there's not something wrong.

Also, the heavy lance being couched is terrible as well, it honestly feels like the thrust does more damage (maybe the difference in damage is just negligible, if that's the case the only time to couch would be to avoid getting your thrust blocked).

this thread is not about the Heavy Lance, its about lancer cav and i gave a very viable option, but yes i do agree the Heavy Glance does need a buff

Buff heavy lance and nerf this fuckin arabian horse , I can't kill it with a +3 longbow with 3 arrows ,and I can't even hit this shit ... (a guy who has 7 riding can fuck archers, infantry, lancers with an horse who has high speed/agility, which is really silly)

Lancer cav is supposed to 1 shot basically anything..... But it can't...

I personally think that cav is becoming a disadvantage for the fact that it takes 2-5 hits(depending on the build) to get a kill and if you get hit once, your done.

Wait, so the same guy thinks that lance cav should receive a buff but hoplites are overpowered? Considering that they use the same animation I'm in complete and utter disbelief a strength-crutching NA baddie.

So if I equip a Light Lance/Lance/Heavy Lance as a hoplite, I can one shot everything right?

Or if a lance cav gets dismounted, his stats should be nerfed because he is now a hoplite?

I only notice a problem with damage when chasing other cav or when other cav are chasing me. Cav running away (from anything) receive way too little damage. Most of the time, I feel completely safe with cav stabbing at my back, because I know it will barely do any damage, and only a few swerves are needed to get them away.

I personally think that hoplite is OP... But not so OP that it deserves a nerf. It's just that they have much more length then a 1H  while using a shield, thus being great in group fights, but not good at 1v1's because of the 1 attack direction.

I'm also not implying that you should be ably to use a lance and 1 hit anything on foot, my point is cav.

 if you use a lance on horseback it should 1hit most anything if your going full speed on a fast horse.. (courser, destrier, arab)

When you use lances on foot (except light lance) it's nearly impossible to do good couse there too slow. Thus you bring a different weapon.

two things i learned today:

1) i bought a +3 arab,  with a +3 lance it feels almost like in the old days.
2) heavy lances on heavy horses do practically no damage,  learned that in a strat battle today.  give the hlance some love :/

Last time I was cavalry I had a +3 heavy lance and a +3 large warhorse (before the 1 damage buff to the heavy lance), and I bounced on kuyak heroes and mail hauberks with full speed couches. That shit was retarded. Buff Heavy Lance!
