I don't see why the Czech minister is concerned. Idiotic people making statements like those above would certainly never travel to his country anyways. And he should be happy about it.

How many random small countries/parts of a bigger country can you point out in Asia? Heck, I didn't know a place called Chechnya existed, I did however know the location of the Czech Republic and from a tiny amount of info quickly realized it must the guys must be from some other country.
The issue isn't that people don't know every tiny country in a foreign continent, it's that a bunch of retards (and no, Americans are FAR from the only people with these opinions) believe that there being terrorists from a country is a reason to go to war with them.

That's strange. Chechnya is quite a famous "country".

Somehow I relate that running to the marathon, this is obviously an evidence the chechens did this. This was their spiritual and physical preparation for the Boston marathon.

They eventually took two people of this gathering who they qualified to carry out the mission.

I'd wager than the percentage of Americans that can find Chechnya on an unmarked map is roughly equal to the percentage of Europeans that could do the same with the U.S. state of Wyoming. Both Chechnya and Wyoming comprise roughly 0.2% of their continent's population.

Geographic ignorance isn't confined to any particular nation.

That's funny actually.

Public schools nowadays are scared to even mention the founding of Christianity in a history class now.  Probably a private school.

The school I went too was no only fat, but scared of all religions  (And broccoli)

This isnt about pointing to places on maps, this about the comprehension that place A is place B, purely because you've never heard of place A.

If there was a bomber from Wyoming, I wonder how many ppl would be tweeting about how they want Waikiki blown up.

But yes you;re right, ignorance is everywhere in varying degrees.
