Buff headshots

I cannot comprehend why they were nerfed, some months ago I'd next to never survive a headshot that wasn't a glance, these days I survive most arrows and some bolts to the face, fuck, just now I was riding around with a jarid sticking out of eye. I've been able to shot people in the back of the head with throwing lances with them surviving it, and (admittedly a teammate) Butan could take two throwing lances to the face at point blank range.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

They have nerfed it a bit, although in all honestly we may only realize this because headshots stick even if you survive now.

When it comes to this I have no opinion, just stating that I have noticed a difference.

Buff archery in general - playing a non-loomed archer is just painful now. It used to be fun, but now you move so damn slow that I might as well drop my power draw and put it into power strike... wait... was that the plan all along?

Your teamate survived those lances to the head for 2 reasons.

1.  They are a loomed str crutcher.
2.  Damage to teamates is heavily mitigated.

Damage to teammates is cut down by 50%, meaning two should count as one normal one, and it was point blank.

Is damage to teammates halved prior to armor reduction, or halved after armor reduction? If it's the former, then the final damage could end up being under half the normal value.

Prior.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

for the record, rouncey and destrier survive headshots from a mw longbow and mw bodkin arrows. You'd think there was a point to using the expensive heavely armored horses.

Destrier costs just 150-ish gold less then an armoured horse to upkeep (and is more difficult to upkeep then, eg. Churburg cuirass and only a tad less then plate). This is less then 10%. You also gain 3 more speed and maneuver, at expense of 13 charge (over 120%) and HP / a significant amount of armour.

The only reason to use a destrier is because you didn't loom a barded horse and nobody wants to trade one for a destrier.

If upkeep was not so easy to bypass for older / grindy players... well.
Best ban reason ever:

Headshots are still as lethal as ever. I regularly get oneshot despite wearing a 63armor helm.

I think the headshots that leave people alive are from lower level players, or maybe players without heirlooms or a long shot/poor movement dmgbonus.

You are an idiot, it takes me 3-4 arrows to head shot anyone with more than 30 head armor. 7PD loomed Horn bow and bodkin arrows.
