/Armor Sets must follow: 50/50/30 PRE LOOM VALUES
-No more than 50 total head armor
-No more than 50 total body armor
-No more than 30 total leg armor
-Looms are allowed

since you said nothing is set in stone yet...

my team and i cant be the only 1 with this question. y are we aloud only 2 armor sets and 50/50/30? some people have unique armors for the build they use and shouldnt have to put their looms aside just to fight in the battles. there are benefits and disadvantages to using light and heavy armors. just thought id ask  :P

There is a hardcap on your gold loadout limit.  40k, that takes into account looms.  A +3 effectively doubles the cost of the loom. 

Go onto our server to test out your loadouts before Sunday.

can you add a bunch of people who are "standins" and can fill 2 spots max in a team each match if for some reason they can't get a couple people to show?

Sorry my niggaz, il get on my game again update this OP, so ima change the 50/50/30 rule to the gold limit and maybe we need to up the scrim days that cant be played to 4-5 instead of 3? Or we just do the classic style of setting up your own matches?

Also, as you can see I am not the best person for maintaining a thread, we need an official legit madnerd willing/capable of running a thread. I think as a reward you get free CP or something; kind of illegal so you will have to inquire within.

Has there been any thought to clans/battlegroups putting up money in a pool for the winners. How can this be an American clan league without people throwing their money away for greed?

Would also be cool to have a peasant league with a 100 gold restriction, 45k league, and unlimited league.

I will talk to the guys and see what they thought of the restrictions. (besides us fighting like crap)

I personally was able to use most of my normal battle server gear... but I generally run a lighter build. I think on the website my value fully loaded is like $28,000.. I am not able to run it due to the loom increase on the server (but I come close have to drop my boots and my axe)

The rest of the guys might have had a harder time

Just to clear up confusion ATM there are no restrictions on gear or classes. The stuff Hobb talks about in his OP is not official yet, and while we might add rules in the future it's subject  to further testing.

Right now on the server there is a 40,000 gold gear limit (functions like that EU "newbie" server limited to lvl 20). At 40,000 the limit "soft caps" armor at about 50-55  and also as people have noted, looms basically double the "price" of gear making their possible use very limited.

We are currently in a phase where everyone should just be trying to get their roster together and start organizing some exhibition scrimmages to get a feel for the settings and your rosters.

That was the original plan, to have team select 2 armor sets that don't exceed 50 total body & head armor, and legs that don't exceed 30 leg by themselves, to make teams look more unified.  That was before Raven figured out how to set the money cap, which IMO is a more elegant solution even if it might make battles look slightly more messy.

Main problem IMO is how we fine tune that value to allow for different classes (heavy cav comes to mind as a possible issue).  But right now we just want to get scrims going and start hammering out details!
