Playing from the laptop
« on: April 18, 2013, 05:00:29 pm »

Hello cRPG community,

My PC stopped working today and I wondered if I should install warband/cRPG on my laptop.
Now there comes the question if I would be accused of multiaccounting (playing mod on different IPs).
I am using the same steamaccount if this information is neseccary.

Thanks for quick answers,
Austriano

Post the laptop specs, unless you have a decent processor and graphics card it's going to be terrible (it will be pretty terrible anyways).

Times like these, I'd recommend getting NES emulator and roms, or SNES or Sega Genesis.  Or games like Sid Meier's Pirates!, Gangsters Organized Crime, Ages of Empires, etc.

Laptop is pretty good for leeching, 0 worth gear... but seriously playing will not work on most laptops... unless you got great specs and paid more than 1,5k € for it...

yee, do what crazycracka said, play AoE, Civ and stuff like that.  :)

I played cRPG on minimal graphics with a decade old midrange laptop, and the framerate was acceptable.

i have played crpg from different computers and from different ip's and i still play,so it should not be multicaccounting, unless you suddenly join grey order.

I play cRPG from a laptop that cost me $100 US because I worked a government job and bought it when I left. It's about 3 years old now. It's by no means a gaming computer.

I get 40 FPS. Playable... I wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other choice to feed your addiction.

My girlfriend and I both play on laptops. Hers has shit specs but crpg runs well. Play it in DX7 and cap your frames at 58, should be smooth as butter.

When you say Dx7, do you mean you play without WSE2, because I was under the impression WSE forced you to play with Dx9 :S Any info would be really helpful as I play on my laptop all the time haha

You IP doesn't change if you switch from PC to laptop (provided that you're still at the same place/connection).

Also laptop gaming?

It's not about if it can perform decent enough, it's about keyboard / monitor positioning. The only legit way to game on a laptop is to fucking stick it on a docking station and use the normal keyboard / monitor
