I do know english football but todays FA cup is not nearly as prestigious as it once was and it became a consolidation prize for PL losers, sry but that's just the way it is, maybe not to Hull City or Arsenal but ask the rest of PL teams and the would gladly change FA cup for PL title and a chance at Champions League.

It only shows their lack of knowledge about life & football and their lack of respect, probably a bunch of elitist pricks who "support" their multimillionaire clubs with spoiled superstars and I bet that if their "favorite" club somehow ended up bankrupt & destroyed they'd just find another one to "support".
Also you guys speak as if there are 75 competitions out there that can be won by anyone while there is this 1 premier league, 1 champions league, 1 fa cup and 1 league cup, in your way of looking things only 2 of those trophies are "the real thing" while everything else is for dummies, great, 2 clubs can make their season worth it and considered "great" while everyone else is wasting time and being useless, nice logic there. Every young footballer's dream (pro or not) is to play at Wembley and win it, only a fool can think of it as a consolation prize. Maybe it doesn't have the charisma & charm of the old days but it still counts.

Of course they carry more weight, they are bigger cups. But everyone who does not win its said its the mickey mouse cup, but as soon as they win it, it becomes the most important one. I would rather finish 4th and have the FA cup then finish second and have no cups at all.

The FA cup is one the best cups in my opinion, you get the likes of hull and wigan who do very well in them and beat teams like Chelsea and City.

I really don't see Chelsea winning any cups in the near future, City will always have a better team. Chelsea don't have what it needs to win the title. Costa will not shine in the Premier League, Fabregas is no where near what he used to be and Luis is an average left back.

Now the book was released 2007 and he explained his feelings were that the FA Cup even meant more than the UEFA Cup victory the same year. He was also extremely happy to win the FA Cup 2006.

Sure this was many years ago, but I still think the FA Cup matters to a lot of english players.

For England, PL trophy is ofcourse the number 1 thing you want to win, but after that comes the FA cup. Not saying it just because my team won it this year, but for as long as I've remembered the FA cup has always been special.

i hate the way Young English players cost so much, we just payed 10 million for Debuchy, but 16 million for chambers. I guess that still is less than Luke Shaw for the both of them.

I think they only had their offer accepted but they haven't signed him yet. I'd prefer Iker instead, that would be a proper goalie for the first time after Seaman era.

With mugs like Jacek Krzynowek's I'm not really surprised, I recon that's a typical polished face and IQ simply doesn't go along such features. Bad luck.
