Yep
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

I saw a Byzantium member trading a +3 Hand Pavise Shield for a +3 Elite Cavalry Shield, so apparently it will be rightly nerfed soon also. Insider trading

Once Paramerion is nerfed down (-2 speed I say), the Hand Pavise and Triangle shields lose like 40% of their HP, and that new horse is given >Sumpter stats, item balance will actually be in decent overall state.

It feels like they actually listened to the community on the new item stats, so that's good.

-1 speed,1k more expensive and +2 cut is not worth using compared to Champion's nordic sword imo. Remove the -1 speed and make 97 speed would be okay imo

Paramerion still has 1 reach, 2 thrust, and the advantage of being slightly curved over the NCS. A fair trade for 1 speed. That 2 thrust is basically the difference between being a guaranteed glance and a likely glance, so not insignificant. I think it fills a nice niche with the new stats.

They were banking on the devs taking 2 years to fix it like it usually took them in the past. They gambled and lost. Paramerion is still a great sword post-nerf.

Glad they made the spathion 1 slot, but I think 96 speed is too slow for the spathion and paramerion to be justified at the price they are at (I thought the paramerion stats were OP before, but I think 97 speed with current stats would be fine for the price it's at, or else leave 96 speed and drop it 1.5 or 2k.

Just IMO of course.

97 speed would make NCS obsolete, since it would have 2 less thrust dmg, 1 less reach and otherwise same stats. They really need non-integer weapon damage values, then Paramerion could have 32.5 damage and 96 speed, for instance.

Ok I believe I had two statements in my post...then leave 96 speed and drop the price.  I believe paramerion was the best sword before the change, but it's certainly not the best now (at least not IMO) and I don't think the highest priced 1h sword is justifiable.

No, I don't own a paramerion...I have a +3 KAS (aka best 1h sword in the game)

Haha they changed paramerion and after that, I quickly got this sword via trading. Very good sword for cav I'd say.

Which was the intent all along; an alternative to the Arabian Cavalry Sword. 1h Cav often prefer lower speed anyway, since it gives them a bigger window of opportunity.
