...I accept and fully understand that I'm going to get one shotted by everyone. It makes playing the class even more fun.
I've always been one of those people that try to master underpowered classes, items, guns, etc. Most of my Counter-strike days were spent trying to ninja-knife people who used guns...
Dude you and I are of the exact same mind. I always figured - hey, blocking negates 100% of damage - something no amount of armor or HP can reproduce. So why not just invest everything in my manual blocking skill, and say to hell with the rest? If I have to become amazing a blocking to survive, I told myself on day 1 of CRPG, I will. Necessity breeds skill.
It was the idea behind NAKED FANATIC, but I found that I was dying so quickly that I never had a chance to get any practice. So, so far it hasn't worked out the way I expected, but I'm still giving it a chance
. Reidi_the_Unfettered has
some armor, so he's a bit more accommodating of my novice status.
And, side note for everyone talking about WPF making up for low PS: after 100 wpf, every 53 extra wpf or so is about equal to 1 ps. You would thus need 206 wpf to equal 2 PS. So, at 170, Grandmaster Not You Too has really only earned himself 1ps and change for a total of 4.?. Not that it invalidates the build or anything - just letting everyone know how the math pans out.

Post Script - about Counterstrike with only the knife, I have a collection of FPS games that I've beaten exclusively using the (often single) melee option. Try the original Max Payne game some time with just the baseball bat. That's a fun evening. Deus Ex with only pistol whips. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were much easier in that regard, but also sweet. There's just nothing like saying "Fuck your bullets - I'm coming for you."
