...I accept and fully understand that I'm going to get one shotted by everyone. It makes playing the class even more fun.

I've always been one of those people that try to master underpowered classes, items, guns, etc. Most of my Counter-strike days were spent trying to ninja-knife people who used guns...

Dude you and I are of the exact same mind. I always figured - hey, blocking negates 100% of damage - something no amount of armor or HP can reproduce. So why not just invest everything in my manual blocking skill, and say to hell with the rest? If I have to become amazing a blocking to survive, I told myself on day 1 of CRPG, I will. Necessity breeds skill.

It was the idea behind NAKED FANATIC, but I found that I was dying so quickly that I never had a chance to get any practice. So, so far it hasn't worked out the way I expected, but I'm still giving it a chance :). Reidi_the_Unfettered has some armor, so he's a bit more accommodating of my novice status.

And, side note for everyone talking about WPF making up for low PS: after 100 wpf, every 53 extra wpf or so is about equal to 1 ps. You would thus need 206 wpf to equal 2 PS. So, at 170, Grandmaster Not You Too has really only earned himself 1ps and change for a total of 4.?. Not that it invalidates the build or anything - just letting everyone know how the math pans out.

--------------------
Post Script - about Counterstrike with only the knife, I have a collection of FPS games that I've beaten exclusively using the (often single) melee option. Try the original Max Payne game some time with just the baseball bat. That's a fun evening. Deus Ex with only pistol whips. Fallout 3 and New Vegas were much easier in that regard, but also sweet. There's just nothing like saying "Fuck your bullets - I'm coming for you."

This was also mine inspiration when i saw guys like Wayyyne who wears very light armor (but still armor to not die from one single lost punch) and kil all. So i decided to go with our new Fallen fur armour and 18-24 with 8wm and 8ath  6 ps 1 if and it is best thing that happen in CRPG for me up to date. I need to block everything yet i almost never die in 1 hit so much more time to block and spam !!! If not ranged i would have won CRPG in one day !

It always seemed dumb to me for these kind of builds to not just spec a little shield in, to hunt archers, for that would make them extremely usefull in strat battles, focusing on taking out archers.

I play as a 4 ps 7 ath char aswell, it's doable but with 3ps you really do need that 9/10 ath, fun atleast! And thats what its about in the end innit? :)

Add mw snowflakes and you don't need a shield. The zone where archers have the advantage becomes much much smaller. You get 16 of + a katana. :)

Would prefer to have 4-6 pt though depending on the target.. Bring war darts or javs for cav and heavier targets, or better, both :)

Isn't that 35 + 2*13 + 40-3 = 98HP ?

2 HP might well make you survive a swing or two more when you have max armor.

Afaik, more HP also increases the minimum damage needed to stagger an opponent? Which is why you get so many hits that barely seem to interrupt him or don't do it at all...
