This is a first for me

After beating a new, yet decently skilled player in a melee duel on NA3 I left the server to go to NA1 right after. My buddy who was still in the duel server told me this player started to go off on me with bad words and then called me a strength crutcher.

actually I would do the same with my main if it didn't suck so bad in strategus...

Yeah, I respeced at level 32 to an archer when strat 4.0 came out. I leveled up an alt, transferred all my looms and mainly play this 9/30 character now in battle/duel. If it was useful in strat I'd make my main this build in a heartbeat.

Actually looks like a really good build...the extra WPF should compensate for only 3 PS, not to mention the speed of the katana at that WPF and your athletics...

I wouldn't call you a strength crutcher, I'd call you a hard hitting agility crutcher.  What the guy meant probably wasn't "strength crutcher" but "hard hitting crutcher"

3 Powerstrike is actually pretty decent. I've been playing a 9-30 Shielder and as such don't have 10 WM (or even any) and was still having a blast and getting kills/score using a Short Arming Sword last night, and not even just on cloth wearers.

I did a 12/27 stf with a +3 nomad sabre and +3 round cavalry shield. Was very effective if you avoided bumps, ranged and Butan. :)

It always seemed dumb to me for these kind of builds to not just spec a little shield in, to hunt archers, for that would make them extremely usefull in strat battles, focusing on taking out archers.

I play as a 4 ps 7 ath char aswell, it's doable but with 3ps you really do need that 9/10 ath, fun atleast! And thats what its about in the end innit? :)
