Defiance (TRION's new shooter MMO) Beta Key Giveaway

Here is a game that I just saw recently, it seems to be flying a bit under the radar. It is Trion Worlds' new game, the makers of RIFT. I think it looks pretty cool so I am hoping it will succeed, but we all know what happens to most new MMOs.

Anyways there is a beta weekend event coming up Mar 22nd - Mar 24th or something if it looks interesting to you, this is your chance to try it out.

Ok that's not true at all. It has been getting quite some press coverage.

I've tried the alpha one or two months ago, it's pretty Borderlands-y, but it didn't seem very special to me, nothing that could really hold my attention.

Well that is good! I personally am pretty excited for it as I think it looks pretty swell, I even pre-ordered it in faith.

It just worried me that no one I have talked to has ever heard about it and most people on the Defiance forums were saying they had never heard of it until just recently.

Anyways, changed the op.


I liked Borderlands except for the cell-shaded graphics and the odd sense of humor to the writing which I never found funny. (Also it seemed any time anyone in the game did anything epic they just completely ruined it by going "SUP?")

I always loved the idea of paying once for the box, but lets hope it doesn't lack long term like gw2.

I played it for 20 minutes in the beta access. The shaders in the beginning were messed up.( I made a white guy but somehow he ended up black). It basically seems like a borderlands MMO other than the weapon customization for the cost of having less combat depth.

Might just be me, but I'm done with theme park MMOs. I might play them sometimes, but I have gw2 for that.
