true odin :D
Yes, I know from whence I came! Discontented as a flame, Upon myself I live and glow. All I grasp like lightning flashes, All I leave behind is ashes
Flame I am - that much I know!

Too bad the Nasal isn't in without hood, i like the big noseguard and simple look to it alot.  :(
I loot corpses of their golden teeth.
But he'll be around somewhere between Heaven and The Devil, because neither of them will take him in, and he'll be farting loudly and singing a filthy song.

i'll be there at around

How are hooded helms unrealistic?

Medieval people were practical.

Hoods protect from rain and wind.

Apparently, whatever land we fight in (which is not-Calradia, I was told), is England really windy, rainy, and foggy.

Therefore: hooded helms would be practical.

I was thinking hoods protected you from the sun (ie metal heats up very quickly in direct sunlight and would make the helmet very hot inside).  I just think they look ugly as fuck from what I've seen (not real life hoods on helmets, just the models in warband)

WHAT?
You serious? Ok, i can agree somehow with the wind version, but still, you have a metal helmet, so how leather, cloth hood will better protect from wind?
But rain? Metal is kinda waterproof, and the hood, made of cloth is not. So how it will protect from rain? It's not a hood from your super new waterproof coat

Well I'm not majorly concerned about the realism I just thought they looked gay, but I think the most unrealistic aspect is that any trained fighter should be smart enough to NOT wear a hood in a fight.

Why? well even in real life I've witnessed some dumbass with a hood over his head, another guy grabs his hood and yanks it down, pulling his head with it, the guy then proceeds to slam uppercuts into his face. But hey, nevermind the fist repeatedly smashing into his face, his head is dry and the wind isn't bothering him!. If you can control someones head, you can effectively control where their body goes, as wherever your head goes, your body follows, hoods in a fight are a bad idea.

These didn't get implemented because Dr.Doom didn't want fools stealing his look. And we all know Doom is the real power behind CRPG.

Draping helmets in cloths has benefits. The obvious is to have a layer between the helmet and the elements.

The real bonus come in battle.
When you opponent aim for your softspots , but since its covered by cloth he can not know for sure.

sorta like the reason you paint shields or drape them in something, so that the enemy can no see the direction of the boards.

Draping helmets in cloths has benefits.

Clearly, if it's endorsed by super-genius polymaths.

id like as many items in game as possible. the more the merrier = more diversity in terms of both builds and cosmetics.

regarding the head... im abit split there... i do think they used hoods back in the day but if it was used in combat i dunno. when you turn your head to look over your shoulder you will stare into the inside of the hood, not very practical. but who knows how they coped back then.

the reason its not in the mod (yet) may be due to balance. I highly doubt new items is just dragged directly into the mod, i'm pretty sure every single item go through some kind of comparison process and is changed a lot before it actually gets in the mod... well dunno just what my fail logic tell me :)

edit: btw, dr. doom, lol (20% more lol than a standard lol)
