The spathion seems to be a very good cavalry sword . The knightly arming sword and the spathion got exact same stats so....
Why 0 slots ?!!!

An other thing :
The eastern horse is way way too bad because he had same stats as sumpter horse ...actually he is only good for trolling or role play ....
why not increase his speed from 33 to 36 or 37
and his maneuver to 38 or 39
If you dont want to do that , Increase his charge so we can bump without dying after

On the other hand this Patch is nice (my opinion) . Thanks for the crossbow slot nerf and archery's gameplay changes

If a small price premium is considered acceptable for a -1 slot requirement, just allow a check box for every item to charge a 10% upkeep premium in exchange for -1 slot requirement. Wait, that would lead to completely OP loadouts? So does the Spathion.

Yeaaah. When I go into battle and the ground is littered with masterworks, one comes easily to the conclusion that money is hardly a deciding factor for the majority of players.

You really fail to get the point of it . You can roll as a hoplite with a 2slot shield , a spear and spathion. Or as an archer with 2 quivers, or even a lancer with spathion as a side weapon.  Hence the increased price for 0 slot. I think it's a really cool feature for anyone who can afford it.

I was feeling curious about it too, but I realized that the slot won't matter much to 1handers and hybrids will generally have less wpf in one handed; which means higher rate of upkeep.

I don't see it as game breaking, but a slight reduction to it's values might be acceptable and reasonable (maybe -1 speed or so).

0-slot Spathion basically enables 1-handers to upgrade to a 2-slot shield without penalty, and still carry a spear or 2 stacks of throwing weapons or 2 secondary 1h weapons (axe+hammer, for instance). Alternatively, you can now carry an Arbalest+Steel Bolts, and still use a 1-slot shield and a top-tier 1h sword.

I don't care if archers get a good 1h sword, I'm more worried about scenarios like the above.

This is quite an important topic there ... but I think what we really need is a few more threads, discussing why the spathion is 0 slot.
