Team-

I know I said I'd never do it, but I'm retiring. Got a new berserker build lined up and I finally know (half of) what I'm doing. But going forward, I won't be rolling naked. At least, not fully. I've learned that it just makes you too sexy a target for archers, and then your KD blows, and everyone thinks you suck - and guess what, that means you suck.

So here's the plan: retire, rebuild, make custom armor mesh replacements that turn ordinary stuff into blood-boiling Berserker gear, hulk out for the rest of time and die happy.

Here's where you come in - I need to:
1) Pick a name.
Pretty sure I'll add the title "The Unfettered" to whatever I use.
2) Pick which items my berserker gear (armor and a helmet) will "replace".
Ideally they will be items that are unpopular (meaning I won't run into a lot of people wearing them) but well-suited enough to the Nordic theme that I will still fit in when rolling with Ravens of Valhalla, even if those watching us don't have my Berserker sub-mod installed (which I will release later.) Oh, and lighter/cheaper armor is better, too. I roll fast and loose.

Lend me your wisdom!

-Commodore

PS: Here's those work-in-progress screenies I promised. The dagger and battle-horn are fake (just decorations, not equip-able). I borrowed them from the Vikingr mod (though reworked), so thank you Vikingr, and the fur mantle/ kilt are made out of Narf's Kuyak, so thanks to him too. The rest is either reworked from native stuff, or in the case of the Bear Sark, fully custom. There will be jewelry, scars, and tattoos before the end.

Hey it's that one guy from skyrim!
Well, this doesn't look good for you. Four team kills - definitely intentional, Appeared to be afk more than once in the video. Also kicking people off of walls is grieving! don't do it.... but ill let you off with a warning this time, only because I don't like largos anyway.

For an armor that has decent stats, while still kind of light that nobody uses, may I suggest the Yellow Tunic Over Mail? I have literally never seen anyone wearing it on the battlefield.
For something that still looks nord-ish without the mesh that is not in common use, I would suggest the Rus Scale Armor, however, it is quite heavy.

Hey it's that one guy from skyrim!

Skyrim had no bear-sark. That was easily the worst thing about that game.

Actually it did, haha I used it on just about every one of my characters.

It is the Stormcloak Officer Helmet, a sabercat sark maybe?  I don't remember.

Oh right! I always found that one really disappointing because the bears you encountered in the game were so massive and the hood was so tiny. It was like the mightiest stormcloaks were wearing cute little cubs. Also in real life people wore bear masks because bears were the biggest, scariest thing around - to wear one was to say "Yeah, that's right, I killed this, and you're next". Well, in a fantasy world with even bigger and scarier things than bears, wouldn't those be turned into masks? Where were the Troll Skull helmets?

EDIT: Let me keep this on topic in an attempt to keep it from being thrown into spam or something - Thanks for the suggestions thus far, guys.
EDIT 2: Come on, three of you voted for stupid joke options, and then didn't give me any. Where's the sarcasm? The ridicule?

Commodore ? Would you please tell us how you managed to create a body armor that shows skin parts ? As far as I am aware it has been declared as impossible by some people who apparently are into editing. Or did you just create a "body armor" by stitching together different parts of your naked model and the fur parts like frankenstein ?

Hey... umm... this axe skin of yours... doesn't happen to be for the Mighty Great Long Axe?
If so... I want it badly... if not, would you make it for me just for a pretty please?

It isn't impossible to make armor that shows skin - it's impossible to make armor that shows it's wearer's skin. In other words, the skin on this berserker armor will not change to match whoever it wearing it. Its more like a bodysuit of Caucasian flesh. If a character with darker skin puts it on, their head skin and body skin won't match. That's why something like this can't be officially implemented into a multiplayer game - it is inherently "racist" for mass use because it doesn't accommodate everyone. I, however, am not everyone, and I know what color I am ahead of time, so it works out.

It isn't a GLA but I could make you one :) Would you consider tipping me though? Not to be too greedy.
EDIT: Oh, I missed where you said "Just for a pretty please". Well, I'll consider it, but that puts it way down on my list of projects I'm afraid. Chances are I might release an axe-pack someday anyway, in an attempt to get this community lopping off more heads.

I'm sure there are no armors out there that literally nobody wears... you might just end up looking like a berserker on my screen :)
