I want the philosophy of buffing/nerfing to become extinct. It will not take the game to anywhere, it never did.

We should concentrate on thinking ways of improving the teamwork and other aspects of the game, in general.


Let me explain the difference with an example:

-For example, many people from the community did not like the current nudge system we have. Because it is considered as a no-skill-easy-win by almost everyone and it swashbucklers an extremely powerful tool in 1v1. Especially if the swashbuckler has better movement speed than his opponent.

There are 2 thinking methods of solving a problem like this:
1- We can think on nerfing nudges to reduce their effectiveness.
2- We can think on making nudges to find it's suitable place in our gaming-experience.

Although both two methods might lead us to the same place in the end, there is a small but important difference between those two. And I must say that option 1 is more likely to limit our perspective, while wil make more people to approach the problem in a way that is like "a counters me, nerf a!".

At least this is how I see the problem.

Stop buffing and nerfing please...the game is still relatively balanced, and has been for years.  There's much better ways to improve the game, such as improving teamwork and better map rotations and review.

I'd say couched lances are the most "underpowered" thing in the game, but I'm okay leaving them as is for sake of consistency.  I'm confident I do as much, or near close enough damage when I thrust than when I couch a lance, and when you thrust there's about 1/4 of the downtime as when you couch.  You have to lead with the couch, and then you have the down time after you either hit or miss someone.

I've heard they are making it so you can't kick while the nudge cool down is in effect (good change), and introducing nudges to other classes as well. 

But I do agree that someone who's very mobile can easily fuck you over with a nudge, and you have literally no defense for it if you get hit (other than not letting them get close enough...but when people can block for literally minutes, that's a pretty big expectation).

buff everything, make the game faster. Melee doesn't excite me any more, as each fight just comes down to who ever gets bored or ganked first. Faster is better imo
