Start to ban people for door glitching already...

It is not against rules and it is not written in Official Server Rules.

If some admin ban player for this, then it is obviously abusing admin powers.

First, devs need to make this Official Server Rule or fix the door bug - if I can remember maybe before year ago or something,  it was fixed.

its abusing of game mechanics, wich is against the rules. the problem is that admins dont ban yet because they werent told to do so yet. now we hope meow or the devs see this and tell all admins to start banning for it

I was killed 100 times by pike thru wall/over the wall (aiming the sky then hit you thru /over the wall), that is also abusing game mechanics and I cant remember that someone is banned for that?

And I'm not against "fixing" door glitch, but that must be official.

Then again, theres thousand things where you can abuse mechanics with pike, stabbing around corner is also an example. So leave pike aside.

Anyway I've been for a rule against swings through doors of any kind since long, but admins have always been struggling with it. After all it's hitting through solid wood with a sword and shouldn't be allowed.

piking through a wall IS banable. piking around a wall isnt.

Sometimes it might be possible, but especially when they are small doors, there is barely place for 2-3 people hacking it, and using one of them (who also needs more space since he is side swinging, not overheading) to counter glitch will slow down the destruction noticeably.

Wasn't this fixed at some point? Hitting a door was like hitting a person, only that hit counted regardless of where the weapon went afterwards on the same swing.

You also hurt your own team wayyyyyne because you inflict additional damage to the doors. You only do it because you want to get more kills/score in a very lame way.

In my opinion it is clearly a bug and shouldn't be allowed.

im not sure, but wouldnt making the door 'solid' actually work. with this i mean making it impossible to hit through a door by letting your weapon stop when you hit it (like a shield) this would also make stabbing damage do way less to doors as your weapon will get a stun.

Let's first ban HRE members who threaten with ban those who abuse door-bug.

Every time I play siege, there is always some HRE member threatening to ban someone for this, claiming that it is against the rules. Fuck that.

Also not sure how HRE members (besides me) actually can "threaten" you with a ban. They can open a ban request like everybody else, but if you didn't break the rules it just will be ignored.

Strangely, only the guys who abuse this bug all the time are lobbying for it. Most other people are really annoyed when somebody is hitting them through the doors. In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to allow that shit.
