Dunno, i just read that Hbo bought the tvserie, atleast thast what i read. But it might be true that they bought it from "The history channel"!

Seems that it might be not only the first proper tv series but first proper viking movie in general. They have Vladimir Kulich and the guy from Kingdom of Heaven that had the most badass fight sequence in the movie, and the most ridiculous one aswell (although it's ex aequo with that scene where Balian defeats three knights with a piece of broken jug). No Madds Mikkelsen though.

If they don't fuck it up by turning it into soap opera like Walking Dead or gore and tits for teenagers like Spartacus it might be just right. Keep fingers crossed and think Rome.

this would have been epic.

saw the first ep,  was entertainnig.  just hope they wont go all holywood on the show and stick to less show,  more story and a good amount of realism. 
not like that gay no-eyed fortune teller.
and i hope they will do historical fighting and not holywood crap.

Watched the first two episodes the other day, it's good but not amazing ( atleast not yet ), i.e many of the characters are just cheesy and some bad acting going on lol. But I still enjoyed it, the story concept is pretty good and I imagine once the characters are expanded upon more it will be much better. Looking forward to watching next episode, I guess once Game of Thrones is on I'll be watching both of these one after another, well, Game of Thrones comes first though lol.

On a serious note: In HBO I trust (ever since Rome, they made Rome very entertaining to watch while still remaining historically accurate). Going to give this one a go.
