it's awesome, but you hsould have the oppotunity to use ie. the 'regular' look even if you have the mw item (you mgiht like it better, or maybe it fits your style)

No... People using heirlooms should show it, it's part of the cool things those textures could bring. When you die to someone with everything masterworked, you don't feel so bad

Pics look really cool. I hope my MW Stones turn to diamond or something. Can't wait to see the Sturdy Robe either.

I really like the idea of heirloomed items getting some "aged and fixed" looks, because they have seen many generations of warriors. Looms getting shinier and pimped doesn't really make any sense because the weapon is supposed to look like it's been used and abused in battlefield when a warrior retires and gives his/her son/daughter his/her belongings.

Inspired by this thread I suggest new thing to heirlooming. Could it be possible that always at lvl 1 you would choose one item you want to heirloom, and then as you level up the item starts to develop too? When you get to lvl 31, the item is ready and one heirloom level is reached. I think this would make sense in a way (in a matter of roleplaying) because when your warrior gets more experienced he knows more about fighting and knows his items and what are their weaknesses. He starts to modify his gear and make adjustments to items and thus getting them better every level he gains :).

Web interface. AWESOME!
Equipment change on heirlooms? ALSO AWESOME!!

Making them more worn out fits the description of heirlooming best, but it doesn't really make them look better. Maybe make them look more repaired and/or have replaced parts (new blade/hilt/handle/shaft/string). Also the thing you do with all 3x looms having a bit golden somewhere is nice. But don't overdo it and make them too fantasy. Just a small ring around the pole of the spear or some gold on the crossblade of a sword or something.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

This not in the mod yet?

Edit:
I'd have to hire some illegal immigrants to grind for me so I can have a full heirloomed suit of armour >.<

I'd like the option of choosing "worn" or "ornate" heirloomed items. If not, it should be determined by the item (wooden staffs, plain shields, pilgrim cloaks, etc. become worn; armets, churburg, flambergs, etc. become ornate).
