We need it the way Joker proposed it, or a very similar way

just have 5 flags and as you capture them your multiplier goes up, and as you lose them your multi goes down.  If you have one flag you get X2, four flags you get X5 and 5 flags you get X5 again.  I would say have respawns, but at the beginning of the map, so the further you advance the longer it will take reinforcements to get there.

Interesting idea, actually. I wouldn't see it as alternative to my suggestion, but it would be a way to create a team deathmatch mode.

Really simple conquestmode is to just drop the flag 2min into the battle at  random location.

Problem solved?

Anyone played Conquest mode of Mount&Blade: Napoleonic Wars or Battlefield ? Its 80% Smoothrich + 20% Joker.



To sum up:

- EACH team begins with X tickets
- ONE big map
- SEVERAL flags
- CONTROLLING flags decreases enemies's tickets
- DYING does not decreases tickets
- RESPAWNING at controlled flags is unlimited
- REACHING 0 tickets is defeat
- LOSING all flags is defeat


Respawning = fun = siege
Capturing flags = teamwork = battle
Tickets = strategy = strategus



Siege+battle+strategus = win



If M&B:NW got it right, so can cRPG.

How is that? As long as there are a few tickets in the pool people won't stop suicide charging, as they simply suppose/hope that no one else will die and use up the tickets before they do. And when the tickets reach 0 people will actually try to survive, but it's a bit too late then, I guess, as both teams will be scattered over the map and no strategy will be used at all.

Conquest would be great, just make it simple, 3 or 5 flags and you can only attack/defend the next flags in order.  But it would take a remaking of maps, and implementing the game mode.  Both of which is not going to happen in c-rpg.  I'd much rather see the issues in strategus addressed before new game modes or new pixel crack is added, but I don't think any of those will happen.

c-rpg and strategus are pretty much what they will be since most of the focus is on the new project (as it should be).

Well it will be like Siege. Some people dont care about the objectives of the gamemode but are still playing on the server. Cant count on everyone playing to "win".


One difference though. In siege you have no "visual clue" about whats happening. Just the fact of having top right/left corner with Blue Team / Red Team number of tickets left, seeing them decreases with time, and knowing that victory goes to the one which has the most naturally directs the people into asking themselves "how can I make it slower for my team and faster for the enemies's?".

This + maybe having the "flags" viewable from a distance like when you select a batallion, I'm sure it would direct almost everyone near them.


Then, Conquest is like all modes, you see enemies, you kill enemies, its a battleground first. But really, Napoleonic Wars Conquest mode is where its at, just copy/paste and win.
